Local Golf Talents to Represent ICS This Spring

From individual state championships and a 2013 TCAF State Championship in Men’s Golf, to a 2004 TAPPS State Championship in Women’s Golf, golf has had a fair amount of success at Immanuel in the last 20 years.

Now, in 2021, ICS is proud to announce that we will have 2 very talented young ladies represent ICS Golf.

Freshman, Kynlee Stubbs has loved the game of golf since she picked up a club at 3 years old. By the time she was 8, her family decided she had a bright future in competitive play. Among her many impressive finishes, her most prominent was at the National Drive, Chip, & Putt Regional Competition in Arkansas (2019), where she would just barely miss out on a trip to Augusta National Golf Club and would finish 3rd out of 50 competitors in Arkansas. Kynlee has aspirations to go forward and play Golf at the college and professional level.

8th Grader, Katee Stubbs followed in her sisters footsteps and began playing competitively at 8 years old. Her first tournament win came at a 9-hole tournament at the Sonoma Ranch Golf Club in Las Cruces, NM, where she shot -3. Katee competed in the Price’s Milk Tournament at Ascarate Golf Course which catapulted her into the Jr. World Tournament (2019) where she finished 3rd in Birdies and 115th out of 200 competitors.

This year, with the help of Coach Aaron Huerta, they will both compete in the TCAF District Golf Tournament at Thorntree Golf Club in DeSoto, TX. Based on their finish in this tournament they can qualify for the TCAF State Tournament at The Golf Club at Champions Circle in Fort Worth, TX.
